A classic handbag in Louis Vuitton archive, the history of Papillon bag goes back to 1966. This endearing bag will be eternally associated with one of the first supermodels, Twiggy who did a famed Vogue shoot in 1967 featuring the bag.

‘Papillon‘, French for “butterfly” and the design inspiration came from this ethereal creature. The cylindrical shape represents the body of a butterfly, while the slender handles resemble the wings.

Special! The size 30 comes with a “Baby Papillon” pochette which can be attached inside and used as a pouch, or simply hang it outside.
