A vintage Chanel clutch on chain from the early 1980s era (pre-hologram). Its age was identified and estimated from its grosgrain fabric interior, snap-buttoned CC, trademark stamping and round CC zipper charm. Another impressive detail is the traditional stitched CC logo underneath the flap – neat!

Velvet always reminds us of the elegant Edwardian era. We love how the subtle curve on the flap further enhanced the classical flair of velvet. To avoid overcrowding, Chanel chose diagonal lines for the quilting instead of the signature diamond pattern. Every element just came together gracefully!

Design – With 22 cm length, the size of this clutch is classy and proper for evening occasions. Bigger than WOC means it’s capable of holding your essential snuggly inside (a larger phone would fit in amply!).

Gold Hardware – It’s the 24karat gold plated hardware that everyone is after, the famous deep and intense yellow-gold tone! Not even a slight fading after 4 decades – vintage Chanel were really made to last a lifetime!
