From the runway collection, this Dionysus bag features a beautiful, unique bamboo handle, a historic heritages of Gucci that can be traced back to 1947 when leather material was in shortage after the war.
Today, the process of making the Gucci Bamboo continues to demonstrate the high craftsmanship – First the most unblemished piece of bamboo stalk is chosen, then softened and worked over an open flame to bend and shape. Then, the handle is coated in multiple layers of lacquer of which will turn into a shiny golden-brown finish after baking.
On this runway piece, genuine Swarovski Elements crystals are selected to lend the striking tiger heads a stunning sparkle. The tiger heads motif tells its Greek mythology inspiration whilst the horseshoe shape traces back to Gucci’s affection on equestrian.
As a small-medium bag, this Dionysus elegantly goes from day to night, from smart casual to formal. It can be carried by bamboo top handle; shoulder sling or crossbody with the sporty green-red striped canvas strap.
