Vintage 0 series, circa 1986. This Half Moon flap model was part Chanel’s vintage clutch-on-chain series, with a unique feminine flair from its curved and rounded silhouette. Velvet reminds us of the elegant Edwardian era, we love how the curvy lines further enhanced the classical flair of velvet!

To introduce geometry to their design language, Chanel explored some different patterns of line for their quilting in the 1980s (square cubes, chevron, vertical lines, diagonal lines and swirl).

Besides looking like a half moon, the semicircle shape with swirling lines does give us an impression of a shell as well!

This 20cm clutch is a dainty and classy size for the evening and thanks to its narrow depth (5 cm), it can also be carried in hand elegantly as a clutch.

The grosgrain interior, a fabric commonly used by Chanel in the 1980s, could easily hold up a large smartphone, small wallet, holders, lipstick and etc.
