Description
Presenting here is a vintage Dior convertible bag, circa 1970s – 1980s. Tote with cut-out oval handles, like this Dior here, was popular in the 1970s, fashion houses like Chanel and Gucci also made their own versions during that era.
This unique piece here is a handheld tote bag when it’s fully opened; it’s an oversized clutch when folded.
Before this fold-over tote made a major comeback in spring 2021 collection, the vintage version was made famous in an appearance on TV, carried by the fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker in her role of Carrie Bradshaw (swipe and see the reference pics!)
The vintage version ‘Oblique‘ monogram canvas was thickly embroidered in jacquard machine, pretty much like how the current Oblique is made, the finished fabric presents the Dior logo vividly in 3D and it is extremely durable.
