One of Tom Ford’s early collections for Gucci, from fall-winter 1996, and as his efforts to reinterpret the House’s classic looks, this vintage piece revisited the archive and took a frame bag silhouette.

During his time in Gucci, Tom Ford’s aesthetic of pared-down minimalism and understated yet flirty high fashion became iconic. The fall-winter ’96 collection played around textures, from stripes, reflective leather to velvet and fur.

Embodying the collection’s design language, the “pony hair” short-fur calfskin leather gave this minimalistic look a sensuous and luxurious touch whilst Box calf leather on the sides complete its “quiet” elegance.
