Vintage, circa 1983. The 1980s collections were known for their sturdier materials, like this Sac Plat here, its monogram canvas, vuittonite interior, brass hardware and vachetta leather are simply thicker, it even has double stitches on leather tabs!

Sac Plat (“flat bag” in French) first made its debut in 1968. With the rising of gender equality, the original-version became a popular multipurpose hold-all among the modern women of that time. Used for carrying shopping, work files and even light travel.

The design is simple, timeless and undoubtedly functional. Sac Plat is a tall vertical tote, with narrow sides and short firm handles to keep it sleek. Ideal to carry large-size items like 15in laptop and document files.

True to its travel heritage and spirit, Sac Plat can be stored flat to save space, thanks to its folded gussets on the sides and base.
