This everyday tote pays homage to the House’s heritage, the ready-to-wear boutique “Saint Laurent Rive Gauche” that Mr Yves Saint Laurent opened in 1966 on the bohemian left bank of the Seine River. This marked the first time a couturier successfully launched a ready-to-wear line in France, with some customers waiting up to three hours simply to purchase something. Within a matter of weeks, it was clear Rive Gauche was the new sanctum of Paris youth culture.
