The story of Birkin goes back to 1984 – On a flight from Paris to London, the then executive chairman of Herm?, Jean-Louis Dumas encountered the British actress Jane Birkin. Inspired by Jane’s quest for a spacious bag, Herm? created a modern design which based on the Haut ?Courroies (HAC) saddle carrier, and named it the Birkin bag.

Size 25, charmingly nicknamed “Baby Birkin”, first debuted in 2004. This size wasn’t shining under the spotlight until the mini-bag trend arrived in 2015, the smallest Birkin 25 (B25) is now the ultimate coveted luxury bag. Despite being dainty in measurement and details, B25 still honours the impeccable craftsmanship of Herm?.

One of the main features of Birkin bag, is its retractable flap which can be flipped over for a more dressy look, or pulled back for a relaxed open-tote look.

Togo leather – this cowhide leather is known and favoured by many users for its excellent durability and suppleness. The drumming process raises generous grains up to the surface of leather, making it resistant to wears and scratches. Slightly “puffy” in touch, other natural features like veins and wrinkles are often visible as well. Like other H supple leathers, Togo will slouch gracefully into a more-relaxed shape with time.
