The ALMA bag – another classic icon of Louis Vuitton. First introduced in 1934 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton.

Fun fact! This design was first named as Squire Bag, then changed to Champs-Elysées in 1955, and finally in 1992, it was officially introduced in Monogram canvas and named Alma.

Rumour has it the Alma bag was initially a custom order from Coco Chanel.

The shell-shaped Alma bag was inspired by the art deco movement. It features clean, bold and rounded lines in architectural structure. Simple, elegant but yet with details hidden within. An Alma bag would be finished with details like hanging key bell, structured base with metal feet, rounded Toron handles, wide double zipper opening.

The mini (BB) size was first appeared in spring 2013 collection. Widely loved for its compact size, iconic silhouette and handy shoulder strap, the BB size is actually more popular than the original PM size, especially downsizing is mainstream at the moment.
