We love LV’s naming tradition! Named after Cannes, a famous resort town on the French Riviera, the Cannes bag of LV is a bucket-shaped vanity case. Reminiscing the old travelling days on ships and trains, the Cannes has a distinctive retro flair.
Comparing here is a 90s-vintage version on the left and a modern current version on the right.
The vintage version was designed to hold beauty essentials, hence larger in size. It was only available in Epi leather.
The modern version was reintroduced in fall-winter 2018 collection by Nicolas Ghesquire. Size minimised for a sleek look, and equipped with adjustable strap for versatility.
We love: the vintage version for its impeccable quality, the modern version for its functionality.
